Moments with Our Inspiration Team: Desirée Rumbaugh
Spotlight on Desirée Rumbaugh
Desirée is an internationally recognized yoga teacher with an unquenchable enthusiasm for life, love and healing. For Desirée, yoga has been a life-saver emotionally as well as physically, and her passion for teaching is fueled in part by her experience recovering from deep grief as a bereaved parent.
With longtime studies in Iyengar and Anusara yoga, she brings 25 years of experience, experimentation and creativity to her ever-evolving, outside-of-the-box style of teaching. Desirée has produced a DVD series titled âYoga to the Rescueâ and is a regular contributor to Yoga Journal, having also appeared on its cover.
She supports the Art of Yoga Project, a program designed to help at-risk girls by focusing on early intervention and preparing them for a positive future. Their mission is to revolutionize the rehabilitation of girls by offering trauma-informed, strength-based, and gender-responsive services.
Desirée shines as a pricless example of the healing, renewing and revitalizing impact that yoga can have on our lives. She is truly an inspiration to all of us.
