Every Leaf is a Flower

Every Leaf is a Flower

One of my favorite existentialist writers, Albert Camus, said: “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” I am certainly not alone in my love for fall. This season is flooded with love on social media. Every year it comes around, and there are many reasons for this.

But I know some are not very happy about this time, so I am here to tell you how we fall lovers make it the very best season and how you too can enjoy it to its full potential. With summer gone and the skies looking gloomier by the day, these little tips should get you settled and looking forward to the naked trees and white hills.

1. Make friends with sleep!

If in the summer you could walk around all night long, and in the morning calmly stroll to work, now, I recommend that you go to bed early. And don't forget to surround yourself with a nice warm blanket or pillows for a comfortable sleep.

2. Physical Activity

Physical activity should also be a mandatory part of your daily routine. I do not recommend exhausting yourself with heavy loads. On the contrary, walks in the park, for example, are perfect. If you live somewhere warm, take this time to do your exercises in nature, and if, like me, it’s getting a bit too cold for that, now is the time to organize your at-home yoga shala or find one that speaks to your soul.

3. Enjoy Coffee & Tea

Drink as much warm liquid as possible. It is good to start the morning with a glass of water with lemon, and you can pamper yourself with a cup of delicious hot chocolate or coffee at lunch. As the weather gets colder, there is nothing better than drinking something warm while rain softly falls on your window.

4. Meditate daily

Try meditation as a technique to calm the mind, slow down and relax. Meditation helps very well to harmonize and balance the entire body. Conclusion: there are many meditation apps and podcasts that help beginners to get into the habit of meditating, and the benefits you will reap will surprise you.

5. Add color to your life!

As trees dress up in colorful outfits, so could you by adding bright colors to your wardrobe: burgundy, mustard, yellow. Move away from noble black. There are so many trendy fall colors that help an outfit look positive and lift the mood. And do not forget to do the same with your food: add color and taste, use spices like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon to spice up your day-to-day cooking. Try new exotic recipes and create something fun.
